All creatures on the planet, except insects, have an Endocannabinoid system. It is the largest Neurotransmitter network in the body. The purpose is to keep our body in homeostasis whether we do anything about it or not. Homeostasis is the Goldilocks zone. Perfect balance which specifically includes but is not limited to pain Modulation, mood, sleep, hormones, appetite, blood sugar, blood pressure and the list goes on. As an example when we stub our toe, our body releases Endocannabinoid's to offset the pain and give us a sense of euphoria.

Endocannabinoid's are part of the Endocrine system, which is a tuning fork for the body. The Endocannabinoid system is comprised of the CB1 and the CB2 receptors. The CB1 receptors are attached to the brain and nervous system. The CB2 receptors are attached to the gastrointestinal and immune system.

Our body's inherent Endocannabinoid's are known as Anandamide and 2AG. Our body produces enzymes known as MAGL & FAAH which naturally breakdown Anandamide and 2AG so we never really build it up in our body. When we take a phytocannabinoid from a plant, which there are over 400 from Cannabis, a genus with different species including hemp, marijuana and ruderalis. These phytocannabinoids, a few of which we know as Cannabidiol (CBD), Cannabinoid (CBN), Cannabigerol (CBG), and various types of Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) compounds fit like a key and lock into the existing receptors and are resistant to enzymes MAGL & FAAH, so they act as a "steroid shot" and go directly to the point of need, which impact physiological processes affecting pain Modulation, memory, appetite, anti-inflammatory effects, and other immune system responses covering Neurological, Gastrointestinal, Mood & Behavior, Pain, Sleep and more. These CB1 and CB2 receptors serve distinct functions in human and animal health and well-being. Just not insects!

These receptors work on a saturation point. So for best results we want to get to the saturation point, surpass it a bit then keep it topped off for maintenance. Surprisingly, what governs tolerance is not size or weight, It is the concentration of these receptors in the body. That's why everyone must go through a titration process, which is adjusting the dosage based on the response to find the sweet spot verse too strong. The sweet spot being that you've taken the edge off and too strong being that you're too relaxed or sleepy as it promotes healing and healing happens in the sleep. And let's not forget that euphoria, for  some people, likened to having a beer or glass of wine.

The Maka Sihu tincture oils not only are best for chronic situation's, but are slow-release, long lasting and build the highest saturation in our receptors out of any product.

The following is a link to a YouTube video which shows the CB1 and CB2 receptors in a cadaver. Viewer Discretion Advised.
